The first need in any engineering project is to know the site. LKB's Survey and Mapping Department provides field survey and aerial mapping services, including the services of a complete photographic laboratory, to deliver this information to our clients.

In field survey, LKB provides ground control for mapping; property line determination for land acquisition; hydrographic surveys, utility surveys, subdivision surveys and cadastral surveys. We have the resources to place a dozen fully equipped survey crews in the field and have recently had as many as ten crews on one project.

LKB's photo laboratory boasts an extensive library of aerial photography dating back 50 years, as well as current flights of Long Island and New York City. It is capable of producing diapositives for mapping, photo prints and photo enlargements.

Whether a private development, a municipal master plan or an update of tax or utility location records, few projects can proceed through planning, design or engineering without proper documentation and base data. LKB's survey, mapping and photogrammetry professionals have been in the business for over a century and are prepared to provide state-of-the-art services into the next decade and beyond.
